Christmas Morning

The boys thoroughly enjoyed Christmas morning! Grammy & Papa spent the night as is tradition and GG came to join us in the morning too :)

A New Baby!

At Thanksgiving we announced to all the family that we're expecting a new addition to our family! And the due date is one day different than Levi's birthday! They'll be exactly 2 years apart. So we had him wear the "I'm the Big Brother t-shirt" to see who would notice first. Uncle Hobie was the first to ask :) Now the funny thing was that Levi is so small for his age that the size 2T shirt was way too big for him, which makes sense because he's still our baby - he seems too little to be the BIG brother, but ready or not, here the baby comes! :)

Star Wars 4th B-Day Party!

There was NO doubt Jake wanted a Star Wars party!...and he was SOOO excited for the big day & eager to invite everyone to come!

The kids completed an obstacle course & earned their light sabers once finished! They played musical chairs to the star wars theme music...enjoyed the Star Wars treats... broke the Darth Vader pinata...fought with their hard earned light sabers...and played at the park! Super fun!

Primary Program

So far for 2011 Jake has refused to cooperate to speak in public. Meaning, his assignments in primary to give the prayer or read a scripture have...flopped. So I was a little nervous that he was assigned a speaking part for the Primary Program in October. Jake's line: "I can be obedient to the gospel by saying my prayers." But he came through with flying colors! He stood next to the other kids and spoke his part when he was supposed to! He was also the most wiggly kid in the front of the congregation, but oh well, it was super cute to watch :)

Halloween

Then there was the "morning after" candy fight.

We had the cutest little Curious George and Man with the Yellow Hat ever! They got so many compliments :)

Pumpkin carving - notice Jake using his bear as a breathing mask! lol He drew the face & decorated it, and I carved it. He said it was the "best pumpkin in the whole world!"

Anniversary Trip

So Michael & I celebrated our 10th anniversary this year! Grammy & Papa watched the boys for a weekend in October and we went to Tucson! Stayed at the Westin, which had a really nice pool and spa area (although we had to do a room change to begin with), ate out at Fleming's - best steak & lobster we've ever had!, went on a morning hike along a desert path & enjoyed 90 minute massages at a local spa! It was a nice, needed weekend, and one of the best parts was the quiet car ride!

Soccer Starts!

Jake gave soccer a try this fall with the San Tan Soccer League...and he did great! Was a star player scoring at least 5 goals in almost every game! He did get a little stage fright/whiny the first time Grammy & Papa came to watch, but after that he was much better :) ...but it was very exhausting :)
